Groovy, outta sight, a gas, cool—these words all became popularized in the 1960s as ways to refer to something that was quite amazing, impressive, spectacular. Cool has made a comeback in current language, but we think groovy just has a certain swanky sound, and we don't want it to go away!

1. A general term that refers to the feeling of a musical performance, specifically to the feeling that all of the performers are performing in rhythmical and stylistic sync with one another. When a performance or an ensemble is "in a groove," all the performers are all playing in perfect sync and the music typically has a effortless and exciting sound.
2. A general term that refers to the act of performing a musical style (waltz, foxtrot, swing, funk, etc...) on the drums (typically drum kit) that the rest of the ensemble can follow. To "lay down a groove" means to perform a specific style in a manner that provides no doubt in the minds of the other performers as to the beat of the music, and when a performance is "in a groove," one can hear a solid rhythmic underpinning to the performance of a composition by the rhythm section.

Mi az a Jazzy Groove?
Egy új on-line fogható rádió, a 90.9Jazzy kistestvére. És nem csak azért, mert másfél évvel a nagytestvér után indult,
hanem mert a célközönsége is fiatalabb.

Miért volt erre szükség?
A jazz zene a 19. század végén indult el, és azóta számos válfaja vált ismerté. A 90.9Jazzy a 20 évek dixilandjétől a swingen
át számos részét bemutatja a jazznek, de a mai fiatalok közül sokan egy modernebb és maibb zenére és életstílusra vágynak.
Az Ő igényükre született meg a JazzyGroove. Egyébként az európai jazz rádiók többsége hasonló formátumot játszik.

Mi jellemzi a JazzyGroove-ot?
Fiatalos, könnyed (és főleg elektronikus zenei alapú) jazz zenék, a jazzfunk, a lounge, a jazzy-house világából. Többnyire ritmusos jazz zene, amely akár táncra is csábítja a hallgatót. (A Jazz a 40-es évekig tánczene volt. A JazzyGroove-val ezt a hagyományt is szeretnénk életre kelteni).
A fiatal közönség valószínűleg azt is örömmel fogadja majd, hogy a JazzyGroove-ban nincs reklám, hírek, vagy műsorvezető, amely megszakítaná a zenefolyamot.
